The Real 100km

There are so many waymarkers along the way and in every town and city, many of which are a little contradictory as to exactly how many kilometers there are left to go. The Camino has changed constantly over the centuries in slight ways, depending on whether there is new bridge or not, whether there is a new road or a new house or a village is now a town or a town is now a factory in the way or not, and so the route gets adjusted so that pilgrims are as safe and direct as possible.

So the first time we saw a (more or less) definitive sign indicating 100km we decided that one we'd believe.
